At OSTC-SE, we offer a range of CTE programs that provide students with the technical skills and academic knowledge needed to prepare for future employment and/or a successful transition to post-secondary education. Our rigorous education programs are designed to meet the needs of each student, and our instructors are dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential.

๐ Syracuse University and Project Advance Guaranteed Admission Pathway
Syracuse Universityโs Guaranteed Orange program rewards high school students who participate in Syracuse University courses through SUPA , Summer College, or Accelerated Semester Online for their initiative and academic excellence.
Eligible students who complete at least 6 credit hours with a 3.0 cumulative GPA in their Syracuse University coursework and who maintain a high school GPA of 3.7 (on a 4.0 unweighted scale) or 4.7 (on a 5.0 weighted scale) are guaranteed admission to the College of Arts and Sciences.
Students applying to other colleges within Syracuse University will not be guaranteed admission but will receive full consideration for those programs and may still be eligible for Guaranteed Orange. They are also eligible to receive a $20,000 annual tuition scholarship.
A formal announcement will be shared with students in the coming weeks from the Syracuse University Office of Admissions, along with application instructions and additional information about Guaranteed Orange. Interested students may also visit the Guaranteed Orange webpage for details.

What is ACE Mentor Program?
High school students in the Detroit area can now benefit from a nationwide program designed to introduce them to the wide range of career opportunities open to young people in architecture, construction, engineering, and related areas of the building design and construction industry.
ACE is open to any interested student grades 9-12, with ANY GPA and an opportunity for FREE college credits upon successful completion of the course.
At weekly meetings, student teams work directly with professionals from leading area firms, who volunteer their time to mentor the teams as they design hypothetical projects, tour local construction sites, and visit architectural, engineering and construction offices.

What is an FSA ID?
- The Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID is a username and password that is required to log in and access all Federal Student Aid websites, including the FAFSA.
- The FSA ID also serves as a legal signature when you submit your FAFSA.
- You can create your FSA ID now, so that you are ready to complete the FAFSA is December!

๐ฐCo-pay Reimbursement for Mental Health Services
The Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN) Mental Health School Navigators are Behavioral Health Professionals that provide outreach and resources to Schools in Oakland County. Their goal is to reduce barriers to mental health services which sometimes includes financial difficulties.
OCHNโs Mental Health School Navigators can provide families with a financial reimbursement resource that provides up to $2000 per household to help cover co-pays and deductibles by a qualified mental health professional, such as for therapy or psychiatry.
These funds are available to any Oakland County student. For more information and to be considered for the reimbursement, complete this form.

BHS students grades 9-12 have been added to the "College + Career Center" course in Schoology. New and 9th grade students will be added during the first week of school.
In this course, students will have access to info on colleges, careers, jobs, etc. Counseling Department events, important dates, and Counseling News will also be posted for students!
