Letter from the Board of Directors
July 2024
Greetings, it is once again time for our community to celebrate Karl Oskar Days which will take place on Wednesday, July 10th and continue through Sunday, July 14th. KOD is a great time to get together with neighbors, visit will friends, and celebrate the great community we live in. A couple events to highlight are Harmony in the Park, the Ambassador Coronation, Car Show, Parade and Street Dance. It also gives you an opportunity to visit and support the local businesses and see what they have new this year. A full schedule of events can be found right here on the City of Lindström's website.
Once the Celebration of KOD has ended it will be time to look forward to the Chisago County Fair which will take place in Rush City, July 18th - 21st. Many of our youth will be involved with different activities though our local 4-H clubs and FFA groups. It is always fun to see what projects and creations come to be judged at the Fair, some examples are woodworking, baking, photography, small engines to just name a few. Let’s not leave out the animals! Come and check out all of the animal barns and get to know your local 4-Hers. There are also things to do in the evening such as Demolition Derby, Motor Cross, and a Talent show. A complete schedule for the Chisago County Fair can be found right here.
This is also a great time of the year to just enjoy all of the outdoor activities that are available in our area. If you have any questions, please contact the Chamber Office at 651-257-1177. Have a great July!!
