Year-End Testing
April and May are filled with our M-Step & NWEA testing. The M-Step is our state mandated test that shows student proficiency on current grade level material. The NWEA is a district-wide assessment that shows growth from one testing session to another another. Regardless of where a student scored on the test in one session, we look for growth compared to similar aged peers across the nation for that same time frame.
Please send your child with a charged Chromebook each day because there is a good chance they will have some sort of test on most days for the coming weeks. A good night's sleep and a good breakfast are always helpful as well! Remember....ALL students can receive a free breakfast here at school.
Upcoming Tests:
Week of April 29:
6th Grade ELA NWEA Language Test on Monday & Tuesday
7th Grade ELA NWEA Language Test on Monday & Tuesday
8th Grade: Science M-Step on Thursday & Friday
Week of May 6:
6th Grade: ELA M-Step (all week)
7th Grade: Math M-Step (all week)
8th Grade: Math NWEA (Monday/Tuesday)

Women's LAX Skills Training for Current 8th Graders
Looking to up your lacrosse game this summer? Check out the West Michigan LAX summer program! It's perfect for beginners who want to boost their skills and it won't break the bank.
We have had three 8th grader girls who all started their lacrosse journey with this program before moving on to more competitive summer clubs. If you're an 8th grader looking to join the Coopersville team in 9th grade, this is a fantastic way to get started.
The program has had a range of coaches, including Matt Secord for the 5th to 8th-grade age groups.
