Math Awareness Month
April is National Mathematics and Statistics Awareness Month. This celebration started in 1986 to help increase interest, appreciation and understanding of mathematics and statistics. Our elementary schools will take part in the celebration by being able to participate in weekly estimation challenges, biweekly math riddles, and the week after vacation (4/23-4/26) we will have a math spirit week. The math celebration doesn’t just have to take place in school! Students will be going home with choice boards for their grade level. These are OPTIONAL activities students can choose to complete and turn in to earn a certificate! Reach out to our math coach, Molly Farrell, with any questions: mfarrell@newburyport.k12.ma.us.
NBPT Student Artwork
Come out to see student artwork on display in the NBPT Public Schools Youth Art Exhibit hosted at the Senior Community Center. The show features student work from kindergarten to 12th grade and is on display until April 4th.

READATHON
The 2024 Newburyport PTO Clipper Readathon is in the books! We are so proud of all our readers, who read over 240,000 minutes! We are also proud of our parent community that together raised $37,223, which will be used for field trip transportation, enrichment activities, and new books for the library. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!
We also want to thank our amazing librarian, Renee Ames. Mrs. Ames held 35 library campouts this year to ensure that every child from preK to grade 3 could attend. We are so lucky to have her in our school community!
