Five Good Things in Spring
June 1, 2025

After more than a decade of dedicated service—and three transformative years as superintendent—Dr. Lupita Hinojosa is stepping into retirement—leaving behind a legacy that will inspire generations. 💫 She is a true leader: launching Momentum High School and passing an $850 million bond, she blazed trails! Her bold vision, collaborative spirit, and unwavering belief in “Every Student – Every Teacher – Every Day” reshaped what’s possible in Spring ISD. As she transitions to Superintendent Emeritus through June, we send our deepest gratitude and appreciation.
Thank you, Dr. H, for dreaming big, leading with heart, and being unstoppable! Enjoy your well-earned next chapter—you’ve earned every minute!
Let’s hear it for Springwoods Village Middle School’s very own Hyee Javaid, who didn’t just show up to this year’s UIL competition—he owned it! This future Wunsche Phoenix brought home 1st place in not one, not two, but three categories: Impromptu Speech, Maps, Charts & Graphs, and Social Studies. 🏆🏆🏆 That’s a clean sweep and a major flex of talent, smarts, and dedication. With a mindset this sharp and a work ethic to match, there’s no doubt Hyee’s educational journey is just getting started—and it’s heading straight for greatness. Way to go, Hyee! Spring ISD is cheering you on every step of the way! 💚
Wells Middle School’s 6th graders brought the energy, the smiles, and the sunshine for an epic Field Day! The day was packed with fun, laughter, and memory-making moments that had students glowing with joy. From start to finish, the vibe was unbeatable and the spirit was sky-high. That’s how Wells does it!
The Claughton Middle School soccer squad just kicked their way to the top—and brought home that District Champion title in style! These talented student-athletes showed grit, teamwork, and pure Cougar fire every step of the way. And let’s give a huge shoutout to the coaches who helped guide this championship run—your leadership made all the difference. We are beyond Cougar proud of our incredible players and staff. Claughton came to win, and they delivered! 💪
Big-time applause for Ja’Meriah Butler and KeyNarjha Robinson of Westfield High School, who just made their college dreams official! Ja’Meriah is taking her game to Garrett College in Maryland, while Key is headed to Wallace State to ball out with the Lions! 💪🔥 These student-athletes have shown what it means to grind, lead, and shine—on and off the court. We’re beyond proud of these Mustangs and can’t wait to watch them dominate the college stage. Let’s gooo! 🐎
