ABIDE IN LIGHT
This past week I have been reflecting on the ridiculous college riots, Israel's circumstance, Title IX, and our posture as a nation. (there is a lot to ponder within those subjects) Despite the arguable dichotomy between the face value simplistic ideals, comments, and solutions verses the complexity of execution in any true adjustment, change, or positive action I believe that the Word of God gives us some outstanding guardrails to focus our mind in how to view and think about such things. We just have to have a clear enough mind and be mature enough in our thinking to see it.
"God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light , as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
Whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.
Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling. But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
The world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides for ever.
The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you , not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance."
-Excerpts from 1 John 1-2 and 2 Peter 3
I pray that as a country we continue to support Israel more than at face value, we use great wisdom as we cast our vote for those we elect at the local, state, and national levels (what kind of country and state do you want to raise your children in?), males and females are determined while in the womb, no other time, and that we utilize the Word of God to frame our thinking as we reconcile the world against truth.
Things to reflect on!
Lead NWA well this week!
