BSES Weekly Announcements
September 8, 2023
Principal Message
BSES Families,
What a week! While the heat was with us all week, we were able to enjoy our outside spaces. We are thrilled to have all of our students back in the building. There is nothing better than having our hallways and classrooms filled with students.
We began our days with morning meetings, getting to know one another and creating classroom communities. We had the opportunity to learn about both outdoor and indoor recess expectations, playing with friends and having fun. We ate lunch together in the cafeteria. The week ended with grade-level assemblies reviewing expected behaviors - see our five expected behaviors below.
We can't wait to see what next week brings!
Take care.
Tara Allen & Susan Papson

Attention all 4th and 5th Grade Students!
Attention 4th and 5th Grade Students! Have you ever wanted to play an instrument? Join the Band or Orchestra in September and give it a try! The instrumental music program is open to all 4th and 5th grade students. The #1 reason students play an instrument is because it is FUN! But also because playing an instrument teaches responsibility, mental discipline, teamwork, self-esteem, and above all it fosters an enjoyment and lifelong appreciation for music. Click HERE to sign up for the band/orchestra this coming school year! Or, for more information about the program, download the BSES Band & Orchestra sign-up packet below. Please contact Mr. VonDerStuck with any questions at vonderj@garnetvalley.org.
