Greetings from Eames Way!

We are counting down the days until our students return and could not be more excited to start the new year! Please read on for important information regarding EWS and District events, updates, and Back to School information!

For our new kindergarten families, we look forward to seeing you all at the EWS Kindergarten Playdate this Sunday, August 25th! (See invitation below for more information.) We also very excited to have our FIFTH grade students join us next Monday, August 26th to help add to our beautiful front lobby mural with Mrs. Voss!

Be sure to mark your calendars for our first day of school for students in grades 1-5 on Wednesday, September 4th (kindergarteners, your first day will be Thursday, September 5th!) Please note that next year's class assignments will be available to our families by the end of the day on ASPEN next Monday, August 26th.

For our new families, please read on for more information regarding the ASPEN portal and how to complete the login process. Eames Way School will also continue to use the PickUp Patrol App to manage student arrivals and dismissals. If you have not yet had the opportunity to set up your PickUp Patrol App, please contact our Main Office for assistance!

Families and students in ALL grades are invited to attend our "Meet and Greet" event on Tuesday, September 3rd from 4:00-6:00 PM! At the "Meet and Greet" students have the opportunity to meet their new teachers and see their new classrooms before the first day of school! It's a wonderful community event that helps calm a lot of "first day of school" nerves -- and it's a great time for everyone to catch up and celebrate the start of our school year!

• Monday, 8/26: EWS Mural Painting with Ms. Voss *5th Grade Students Only* (10:00 - 11:00 AM)
• Monday, 8/26: Next Year's Class Assignments Available to Families on ASPEN (By End of Day)

SEPTEMBER 2024

• Monday, 9/2: LABOR DAY - No School
• Tuesday, 9/3: Join us for Elementary "Meet and Greet" from 4:00-6:00 PM!
• Wednesday, 9/4: First Day of School - Grades 1-5
• Wednesday, 9/4: Kindergarten Orientation (Information Forthcoming)
• Thursday, 9/5: Kindergarten Begins
• Monday, 9/9: SMILE! It's Picture Day!
• Thursday, 9/26: Elementary Curriculum Night

The Portal for elementary families will open on Monday, August 26, at which time your child’s new teacher will be noted!

New families should have received their login information via email from our Aspen team. Please check your email for your credentials. All families can contact aspen@mpsd.org if you have any questions accessing the parent portal.

**Extremely Important: Please complete the Student Workflow and Parent Workflow before the start of the school year as this is how we reach you in an emergency.**

Eames Way School will continue to use the PickUp Patrol (PUP) App to help us better manage our dismissal process. PUP allows parents to electronically make daily dismissal changes from a computer or smart phone. Families who have not already registered will receive an email regarding login information prior to the start of school.

Every three years our parent/guardian CORI forms need to be updated in order to volunteer at school events or in the classroom. This year marks the beginning of a three year term, so every parent/guardian that would like to volunteer needs to complete a new form this year (even if you have been approved in the past).

Please click here for the form and submit by bringing this to the front office with your license. You do have the option to have the form notarized and sent in with a copy of your license if you cannot come to the school.

We are so excited to open Before School and After School Registration! This year welcomes expanded off-site licensed child care at all five Marshfield elementary schools, new Clubhouse programming, and an inaugural Junior Leadership program for Middle School Students.
