The Sycamore Community School District, with the financial support of our generous PTOs, will be hosting author Kate Klise and illustrator Sarah Klise in early March. Each elementary school will enjoy presentations throughout the day. Montgomery's special day is March 3rd! All students in grades kindergarten through fourth will attend an assembly. Our students have already been enjoying several of the Klise sister's books in the media center and in their classrooms. Attached is an order form for those who would like to purchase and take home an autographed book on the day of the visit (completely optional). Daytime and evening appointments will be available
Beginning January 6th, families must complete all
online forms.
The 2020-21 school year will not open in Final Forms until January 6th, 2020. Any forms completed prior to January 6th will result in registration for the 2019-20 school year.
Once all forms are complete, follow the instructions to make an appointment online.
*All appointments are made electronically. Links will be added here to make an appointment in January.
*If Final Forms is not complete, your appointment will not be accepted. Lottery deadline for full day kindergarten is February 14th, 2020.
*Full day selection is NOT based on your appointment date.
*All students registered by the deadline will be entered into the lottery if you choose.
A $100 deposit is required at your registration appointment
to be included in the full day lottery.

It will be a fun filled night for everyone, but we are not able to do this without an ARMY of volunteers! Please look at the posts below! Sign up to work a shift (or two), donate items to basket raffle or silent auction, ask your employer to consider being a Carnival Sponsor?!? Please sign up for your shift for carnival soon to insure you get your choice of time and/or preferred game!!

It’s a tradition at Montgomery Elementary for the Kindergarten families to organize and lead the Carnival Cake Walk. Yay for cake!
This year, we are asking each Kindergarten family to donate a store bought small round cake, a dozen store bought mini cupcakes, or half dozen store bought regular cupcakes OR donate $10 for us to purchase cakes or cupcakes from a store.
CARNIVAL CAKE WALK
HELLO KINDERGARTEN PARENTS!!!
It’s a tradition at Montgomery Elementary for the Kindergarten families to organize and lead the Carnival Cake Walk. Yay for cake!
This year, we are asking each Kindergarten family to donate a store bought small round cake, a dozen store bought mini cupcakes, or half dozen store bought regular cupcakes OR donate $10 for us to purchase cakes or cupcakes from a store.
You can donate through PayPal to Montgomery Elementary PTO at mtptotreasurer@sycamoreschools.org OR send in a check made out to Montgomery Elementary PTO. Please mark payments towards Cake Walk.
We will not be able to use homemade cakes or cupcakes for the Cake Walk. If you would like to make something, please sign up to donate directly for Carnival Bake Sale (sign up information can be found in the S'more or PTO website). If you choose to donate Store Bought cakes, please mark them clearly for the Cake Walk.

Save the Date:
International Night will be held on Friday, March 27, 2020 from 6:30-8pm. This will be an evening to celebrate the diversity of cultures represented in our student population. The event will consist of cultural booths, food booth, performances, and more. A sign up link to participate will be included in January’s newsletter.
