Family Math Night 1/29
Incoming Kindergarten Registration
If your child turns 5 by Sept. 1, 2025, mark your calendar for Kindergarten Roundup on Friday, Feb. 7. The registration event will be held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the District 75 East District Office, 470 N. Lake Street.
Don't forget to bring their birth certificate, a copy of your mortgage or lease and two current utility bills. For more information on registration, contact Patty DeLozier at 847-949-2700 ext. 2014.
Valentines and End of Year Class Party
This year, the teachers decided to hold the third class party at the end of the school year. The date will be determined by the teacher, in consultation with the parent party planners. If you and your child were hoping to send valentines, the teachers are still honoring friendship that week. As long as there is no candy/food, notes for every classmate is A-Okay.
Family input on WA Principal from District 75
We’ll be conducting interviews for a new Washington Elementary School principal soon. Please fill out this short survey which gives you the opportunity to rate the most important character traits, knowledge and skills the principal should possess. The survey only has a few questions and shouldn’t take more than a few minutes to complete. We appreciate your time in helping find the right principal for the Washington community.
Winter Weather Note from Superintendent
As we move into the winter weather season, we want to remind you of our procedures in the event we need to close our schools or implement a late start due to inclement weather.
- If weather and road conditions make it too dangerous for students to travel to school, District 75 would either close schools or delay the start of school for that day.
- In either case, the District office would notify all D75 families and staff by 6 a.m. and post the information on each school’s web page. Notifications would be sent via text, voicemail and email for parents/guardians listed in PowerSchool.
- District 75 would also announce its intention to either close the schools for a “snow day,” or implement an “e-learning day” for students along with specific directions regarding the e-learning procedures.
- If closure is not announced by 6 a.m., schools will be open as normal.
Best regards,
Kevin Myers, Superintendent District 75
