Principal's Message
Hello Ockley Green Families,
Please join me in congratulating two of our students that are being recognized as 2024 PPS All Stars on Thursday, May 30th. Alexa Vazquez Cabellero will be recognized for the ¡Sí Se Puede! award and Rachelle Davis will be recognized for the Young, Gifted and Black award in recognition of their leadership within the Ockley Green community and commitment to our core values. They are both amazing leaders and we appreciate the many ways they contribute to a positive school culture.
I also want to celebrate our MESA Team! We have been without a MESA program for about 5 years, so it is wonderful to see it back at Ockley Green. We are fortunate to have Mr. Huy's support in bringing it back and for his commitment to continuing to grow MESA in the coming years. It was wonderful to see the excitement of our budding engineers today at PSU for MESA Day.

Ockley Green Summer School for Rising 7th & 8th Graders
Summer Acceleration Academy has been reduced and is not offering programming to Middle School students. At Ockley Green, we have received grant funding to offer Summer Enrichment Programming to our current students that will be in 7th & 8th Grade next year. We have finished our priority registration and are now opening up registration to any Ockley Green student that will be in 7th or 8th grade next year.
We want to invite your student to join us this summer! All students will receive Language Arts & Math instruction and multiple elective classes. This will be a great opportunity for students to reinforce learning, engage in exciting electives and prepare for their upcoming academic year. The day will start at 9:25 am and end at 2:00 pm. Students will be provided breakfast, snack and lunch each day.
See below for a QR Code and link that will get you to the registration form. Registration will be open until June 3rd.

Yearbook sales have ended, but we do have 34 yearbooks left to purchase for anyone who may not have gotten the chance.
If you are interested, please call the main office and ask for Grace Duncan. Yearbooks are $15 each and we will not be getting any more ordered in. They will be first come first served.
Please Share Your Feedback
The survey will open on May 6 and close on May 31. You will be able to take the survey online at home, any time you stop in the office during school hours, or at our Nutrition Fair (see below) on May 16.
Thank you in advance for your participation as it will allow us to make thoughtful and well-informed decisions about school climate and culture. If you have any questions about the survey, please contact Ms. JJB in the office at jjardeeborquist@pps.net.
