Happy New Year, 2025! As we prepare for this new year, we are filled with anticipation and hope for our world. The Jubilee Year of Hope was inaugurated at the end of December with Pope Francis opening Holy doors and ushering in this new Jubilee Year.

During this special year the Catholic faithful have the opportunity to focus on themes of hope, renewal, and spiritual growth. Pope Francis emphasized the importance of rekindling hope and trust, encouraging the faithful to look to the future with an open spirit and a trusting heart.

In May 2024, Pope Francis wrote a document called "Spes non confundit" ("Hope does not disappoint"). This document outlines the themes and goals of the Jubilee, highlighting the importance of hope, reconciliation, and renewal.

In January, we focus on the issues of Respect Life. On January 25, we will gather at the Cathedral for the 11 a.m. Life Mass celebrated by Bishop Peter Christensen. Following the Mass, we will participate in the March for Life from Julia Davis Park to the Idaho State Capitol for the Life Rally. See more information below.

If you have not made a New Year's resolution, I encourage you to resolve to be a person of hope. Be filled with gratitude for the gifts and blessings of God and share these with others. Be light in a dark world so others can experience the hope that God is offering through you!

Join us for the Annual Mass for Life to be celebrated by Bishop Peter Christensen at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 11 a.m.

As we celebrate the Jubilee Year of Hope, we continue to share in a radical solidarity with women and families seeking to protect life.

We will gather to pray for all in this country who are working to build a civilization of life and love. We also pray for the future as we accompany all women and their unborn children whose God-given dignity warrants our help, practical resources, and a community of support to choose life.

Following the Mass will be the March for Life starting at 1 p.m. in Julia Davis Park. We will walk from the bandshell up Capitol Boulevard to the Capitol Building, gathering at the front steps of the Capitol for the Life Rally. A reception in the the St. John's Cathedral parish hall will follow the Life Rally.

However, the bulk rate price is $2.50 for the purchase of 25 or more decals. These funds go toward sustaining the Marriage for Life Campaign.
