Fall Conferences will be held Monday, November 20 and Tuesday, November 21 by appointment. These will be non-school days. Please be on the lookout for either a Google Form or paper sign up sheet from your child's teacher to schedule your conference. Any questions regarding scheduling your conference should be directed to your child's teacher. Please fill out your forms and return as soon as possible. We look forward to seeing you!

Regular attendance has a direct link to a successful school experience. Colton School District is

committed to working with families to promote regular attendance. Attendance notices will be sent

home with students that have missed five or more days in the first quarter. The notices are to let you know how many days your student has missed, in accordance with Oregon state law. They will be sent home with parents at conferences.

Immunization Exclusion Day is February 21, 2024. All students not in compliance with Oregon's Immunization law will be excluded from school on that day, and can not return until they are in compliance.

If your student is not in compliance, you will be given a copy of the Oregon Certificate of Immunization Status form at your conference. Please update, sign, and return it to the office as soon as possible.

Please check our Lost and Found tables before or after your conferences next week. We have accumulated a lot of coats, sweatshirts and other miscellaneous items.

All parents and volunteers, in order for you to work in or around our buildings, you must clear an ODE and CSD background check and complete mandatory training. If you have only completed one of the online training modules, please email hr@colton.k12.or.us to receive the full set. This is a new requirement. A reminder from the Colton School District Bus Garage:

Fall is here and as the days continue to get shorter and mornings darker, it is helpful for parents to have some type of light with students at their bus stop. Reflective patches on coats help too. This makes it easier for the school bus drivers and other drivers to see them. Let’s be safe and visible this winter.

Friendly Reminder: All medication (over-the-counter and prescribed) needs to be transported to school by a parent, and medication authorization forms must be filled out before office staff can administer medication. The medication both prescribed and over the counter should be in the original packaging, and can only be given as directed by the prescribing physician or medication label.
