Early Dismissal and Transportation Change Cutoff: 2:45 PM
No Bus Passes
Please note that transportation is not able to honor requests for students to ride home with others on the bus. We will not be able to approve these requests. Please reach out if there is an emergency situation that we can assist with.
Current Average Daily Attendance: 97.55% (Goal 98%)
Official Attendance Time at Annetta (this is a change)
To ensure accurate accounting of our attendance, we will be moving our official attendance taking time to 8:50 AM. Any student arriving after this time will be considered absent. Please note that if a student goes to the doctor and then comes to school (at any time during the same day), they will be considered Medical-Present. We will also be providing more attendance information soon.
Attendance Matters at Annetta!
As a reminder, we have streamlined absence reporting for all of our campuses for this school year. It is very important that we have documented reasons for absences so that we can ensure your student is given an excused absence when needed. Please take a look at our attendance website here for expanded information on school absences, attendance reporting times and more, and please utilize this form throughout the year to report absences. This form is also linked on the Attendance Matters website www.aledoisd.org/attendancematters.
News from the Nurse
Our new nurse is Sommer Wincowski - her email is swincowski@aledoisd.org. Please review the information below regarding over-the-counter medications. Also, please note that all Lauren's Law forms need to be emailed to Nurse Wincowski at least 10 days in advance. The form is linked below.
Lauren's Law Requests must be submitted at least 10 days in advance.
Bearcat Care Clinic
The Parker County Hospital District is asking that parents/staff pre register for the Bearcat Care Clinic visits now, in lieu of waiting until a visit is needed.
Devices (including Smart watches)
Please note that all devices should be off and out of sight during the school day. Students may wear smart watches but should not be messaging on them. If a student is messaging during the school day, the watch will be taken up for the day. Please help us in this communication with your child.

Reminders
- Please stay in your lane once you enter the carline. This will ensure your child is at the right cone for pick up.
-
Display your number clearly from your rearview mirror.
Please wait for a thumbs up before proceeding in line - this is our signal that your number has been entered.
Once your student is loaded, please continue moving in the line.
If your child has not loaded and the cars in front of you have moved forward, please continue to move forward - we will have you pull all the way up to the fire hydrant and locate your child as soon as possible.

Positivity Project
Dear Families,
Next week, our school community will focus on the character strength of Teamwork. Teamwork means you work well as a member of a group or team. You are loyal, reliable, and dedicated to helping your team achieve its goals.
Teamwork involves prioritizing group success. Those strong in teamwork help all group members succeed, committing time and resources to the group's goals. They often delay personal accomplishments to ensure the group's overall success, which fosters positive feelings and counters selfishness and egotism.
For individuals, teamwork often means deferring or delaying individual accomplishments in order to ensure that the group maintains a high level of success. Their commitment to the larger group effort makes them good teammates. The positive feelings associated with being part of a larger whole — can be highly beneficial and combat selfishness and egotism.
To practice and encourage the character strength of teamwork at home, please visit the Positivity Project’s mobile-friendly P2 for Families. There, you will watch a video clip together and discuss a quote and three questions related to teamwork.
Thank you for your continued support!
