The Wolf Weekly
NRHS Principal's Newsletter
Newsletter Week of September 26, 2021
I hope you are enjoying your weekend. It is hard to believe October is right around the corner. We have a busy week ahead of us with a late start for students on Monday for NRHS Staff to meet for Professional Learning Time. Please refer to the bell schedule on the NRHS website. Link is below.
In addition, we have our NRHS Open House on Thursday, September 30th beginning at 6:30pm. This year we are asking families to fill out the schedule for their student's classes as we will not be printing out schedules. The schedule is linked below as a google doc and also attached as a PDF. Open House is in person this year and masks are required to attend the event.

Our Challenge Day experience for sophomores last week was very successful and we are looking forward to offering this to our Freshmen in November.
Athletics are in full swing and we have many afternoon and evening games coming up in multiple sports this coming week - come out and show your Wolf Pack Pride!
Stay tuned also for more information about student elections and the Clubs and Activities Fair which will be during the first full week of October.
Have a wonderful week Nashoba!
Best,

Tik Tok and Social Media
Currently, there is a TikTok challenge circulating called the "Devious Licks" challenge. In it, students are encouraged to steal things from their schools and post about it on TikTok. Students get more "points" for higher value or riskier items to steal. We are hearing from neighboring schools that they are struggling with the theft of everything from pens to soap dispensers, etc.
Obviously a trend like this would financially impact our school and our staff members. If students are caught stealing items from our community, penalties including suspension, fines, and police involvement would all potentially be in place, as outlined in our Student Handbook.
We are asking for parent and guardian help and support to talk with students about this challenge, let them know of the repercussions, and address the values we have in our school including Integrity.
Here is some more information about the challenge, from various news outlets:
In addition, we encourage parents and guardians to not only monitor their teenagers use of social media, but also self monitor their own use of social media to ensure we, as the adults, are being positive role models in our online presence.
Thank you for your help and understanding.
