Student Spirit Days in December
Ugly Holiday Sweater DANCE
Calling all Patriots:
Get out the ugly holiday sweaters and get ready to dance! Our Liberty Basketball program will be hosting an Ugly Holiday Sweater dance after school on Thursday, December 5th. Tickets are $5 each and will be on sale in the rotunda Monday 12/2-Thursday 12/5. Concessions will be sold at the dance and accept cash only. Permission forms can be found in the front office. It’s about to get UGLY, Patriots!!
Midterm Exam Schedule is HERE
Liberty put together this midterm schedule, so no student has more than two exams on any given day. Additionally, we wanted to get this schedule out to you ASAP so you can make travel plans around these dates. We know some of our families will take advantage of extended vacation time during the holiday season, so we want our community to be aware of how Liberty will handle exams outside the midterm window. We will NOT allow students to take exams early. If a student misses an exam, then he/she may take the missed exam on Friday, January 3rd. Please make arrangements with your child's teacher to attend this make-up session.
Picture Retake Day December 4
Picture Retakes will take place on 12/4/2024. Please use the link here to sign your student up for their picture retake. Retakes are for students who were missing or if a photo did not turn out as expected. Students will be given a pass by Ms. Kennell and her yearbook team in order to be excused from class for retakes. For this reason, we will need this form filled out by December 2nd to get passes ready. Students can also see Ms. Kennell in the Art Room 526 for help with retake day.

Out of District Request - OOD
Out-of-district requests for the 2025 - 2026 school year will continue to be available through November 29, 2024. The November 29th deadline does not apply to employees of Forsyth County Schools or families moving into or within Forsyth County.
Scoliosis Screening
We will be holding scoliosis screening for 6th and 8th grade students on Thursday, February 6, 2025.
The procedure is a simple, painless, 60 second test in which the students’ spine is observed in the standing and forward bending positions. Boys and girls will be screened separately. If your child has a suspected curvature, you will be notified by mail.
To make the scoliosis screening process go smoothly we ask that parents discuss with their child how the process will work. Please advise them to wear only one layer of clothing on the day of the screening. Multiple layers of clothing delay the screening process. Since it is necessary for us to view your child's spine, we will need them to remove their shirt, please encourage them to wear a bra, sports bra, or bathing suit top under their shirt. All attempts will be made to respect each student's privacy and modesty.
If you do not wish to have your student screened for scoliosis you must sign the refusal form on Parent campus by going to student name-documents-scoliosis refusal form or if you can’t access parent campus-have your student pick up a paper form at the front office or nurse office. Please feel free to reach out to Nurse Sommer if you have any questions via email at: soberkrom@forsyth.k12.ga.us or 770-781-4889 ext. 290120.
You may find additional Scoliosis information and a printable version of the refusal form here.
Rising 7th Grade Immunization Requirement for 2025-2026
Before starting the 2025-2026 school year; Per Georgia law, all public-school students born on or after January 1, 2002, and entering, advancing, or transferring into 7th grade in Georgia need proof of an adolescent pertussis (whooping cough) booster vaccination (Tdap) given on or after their 7th birthday and an adolescent meningococcal vaccination (MCV4) given on or after their 10th birthday. Proof of both vaccinations must be documented on the Georgia Immunization Certificate (Form 3231) by the first day of school for all 7th graders.
Where can a student get vaccinated?
Children should visit their health care provider or local health department to get their Tdap or meningococcal vaccination.
Once I confirm my student has received these immunizations, how do I let the school know?
The school nurse has access to the Georgia Registry of Immunizations and will be able to see when your student’s vaccinations are updated in the system. You are also welcome to email or call the school nurse at soberkrom@forsyth.k12.ga.us 770-781-4889 ext. 290120.
