A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
School safety is always our highest priority. We take every threat reported to us seriously. Even if a threat is made in jest or in a joking manner, this can result in very serious consequences for those involved. As a district we appreciate your diligence in reporting concerns when you hear them from your child(ren). Anytime we get information regarding a threat, administrators work with local law enforcement to thoroughly investigate and respond, if necessary, to any possible threat. It is a good reminder to discuss with your child(ren) the importance of reporting threats of any kind to an adult as soon as possible, and also discuss how serious a matter it is to make jokes about threats. Remind your child(ren) they can also use the Speak Up Speak Out reporting site in which they can report items at any time as well. We also provide links to this site for our students in the daily student announcements. All of us, working together as a community, help to keep our schools a safe place.
I hope you all have a great weekend!
- Mrs. Cady
