SMS Staff Appreciation Week May 12 - May 16
Hello Scarborough Middle School families!
SMS Staff Appreciation Week, from May 12th - May 16th, is almost here!
Last year, we treated the wonderful staff to breakfast, lunch, snacks, drinks, mailbox treats and dozens of raffle prizes, all because of the generosity of SMS families and local businesses.
Please consider helping to fund this terrific event via Venmo @SMS-Staff-Appreciation ( https://venmo.com/code?user_id=4303604676560168080&created=1744407167 ). Or, the SignupGenius link is https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0D45AEAE2BA0F94-56089371-staff. SignUpGenius items can either be brought to the school and given to Michelle Mulcahey, in the main office, or brought to my house on May 8th or May 9th. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated!!
Thank you to everyone who has donated! We really appreciate your generosity!
If anyone would be able to help with set up, clean up, etc., or if you have any questions, please reach out to me at mtgzag@gmail.com.
Thank you so much,
Maureen Greene

Student Absence Reporting
Families should report their middle school student's absence from school by calling the SMS main office at 207-730-4800 or by email at msoffice@scarboroughschools.org. A reason for the absence must be stated, otherwise SMS office staff will reach out to determine the reason for the absence.
Excusable reasons for an absence:
- illness
- appointment
- religious holiday
- family emergency
- planned absence
For Planned Absences (a day out of school which is not illness or medical appointment related), families should fill out the Scarborough Middle School Planned Absence for which is found here.
For questions about attendance, please contact the Scarborough Middle School main office at 207-730-4800 or email us at msoffice@scarboroughschools.org
