LTMS News
During the month of March Mrs. Barker & Mrs. Kang's 7th grade math classes participated in "March Madness." The contest was formatted like the NCAA March Madness brackets and students advanced each week by mastering the most math IXL topics. In this contest, students were focused on completing their personalized recommendations from IXL so that each student was able to practice at their own pace and level in targeted areas where each student may need extra help. Over the last month, these 159 students answered over 95,000 math questions, spent over 727 hours working and made progress in 1,156 skills. Thanks to generous donations by the PTC, students won a variety of prizes. The top performers were David Isham, Sydney Poulos, Maddie Delzo, Claire Hess, Giavanna Zawada, and Lea Roth. The student who won the grand prize and completed 175 skills during March Madness was Claire Hess.
