Mrs. Lake's Weekly Update
November 11, 2024
Dear All Saints Families,
Over the past week, students have been learning about veterans and the sacrifices they make for our freedom. Students in grades 6 - 8 were tasked with an assignment to write an essay that outlined what freedom means to them and how veterans contribute to that freedom. The essays were then read and judged by a few members of the Knights of Columbus from Saint Paul the Apostle Parish. Students in each grade that wrote the best essay were honored by the Knights with a beautiful wooden cross depicting the American Flag at morning prayer this past Friday. Congratulations goes out to Mia Rogers (6th grade winner), Mya Parent (7th grade winner), and Evie Hayes (8th grade winner).

Christmas Pageant
All Parish and ASCS families are invited to participate in this year's Christmas pageant at St. Teresa's Church in Brewer on Tuesday, December 24th at 4pm (Holy Mass will follow). There will be three rehearsals during the month of December. If your family is interested in participating, please complete this survey. More details to follow.
Calendars: Make sure to get your money for calendars into either school office by this Friday to earn an extra volunteer hour (3 total for 20 calendars sold).
Mass Sales: There are still spaces to sign up for Mass sales the next two weekends. Please help make sure we have coverage at all Masses. Any money and tickets collected, along with unsold calendars should be turned in Monday morning (or Tuesday in the case of Veteran's Day). Thank you!

RAFFLE DONATIONS: If you secured a raffle donation for the Advent Fundraiser, please get those to either campus this week. We need to organize and wrap donations as soon as possible. Raffle drawings begin on December 2nd (December 2nd, there will be two drawings because Advent begins on Sunday, December 1st).
Parents with students in grades PK - 5 should have received a link with directions on how to sign up for parent teacher conferences through FACTS. Parents with students in the middle school will receive the link on Tuesday, November 12. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you have not received a link or need help.
As was done in the past the PTO is asking for food donations on Monday, November 25 in order to provide supper for the teachers. Below is the link to sign up - sheet 1 is for Saint John's Campus and sheet 2 is for Saint Mary's Campus. Food should be brought into each campus the morning of November 25th and families earn one hour of community service volunteering for helping out. Any dishes or serving utensils may be picked up on Tuesday, November 26th. Please lable everything you plan to take back home with you. Reach out to Kate Carey with any questions.
