Senior Camp at Wahsega
Our 4-H'ers have been having a blast at summer camps across the state from Burton 4-H Center on Tybee Island to Wilderness Challenge and Senior Camp at Wahsega 4-H Center in Dahlonega. We've got another week to go before our overnight camps wrap up for the year.
State Council
Our 4-H'ers had a wonderful time at Council; voting on new amendments to the 4-H Constitution, selecting a new state board of directors, learning about citizenship and we have 3 newly certified Level-1 Teen Leaders (Coleman, Coleman, and Jason)!

Pantry Pride Recipe Contest
The 4-H Pantry Pride Contest is upon us. This annual competition challenges youth to create a new, healthy dish utilizing ingredients commonly found in food banks. Entries are added to the Pantry Pride Cookbook, distributed each year to FACS Agents and Food Banks. Senior 4-H'ers (9th-12th graders) who enter the contest have the opportunity to be invited to a live cook-off at the Georgia National Fair.
This year Jackson County 4-H will host its own cook-off on July 22nd. This will give interested students a chance to experiment and perfect their recipes before submitting to the contest.
Space is limited to the first 14 to sign up. Cost is $10 per person.
Contest rules are attached.
