French Award
The World Language Department is proud to announce that three French students won top honors in a national media contest sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French. Elenora Casto, Bella Mahon, and Charlotte Guido won the third place prize against hundreds of French students from across the country. They wrote, filmed, and produced an original video in French on the theme “Le français, langue globale” (French, a global language). The students were awarded a certificate and a cash prize. Félicitations!
Girls In Essex County
On Tuesday, Gabby DeOliveira and Bella DeOliveira (ACE Club), Sophie Gustafson and Anjo Kordis represented Masco at the Youth Listening Session: Girls in Essex County, sponsored by the Mass Commission on the Status of Women. Held at Essex Tech, the goal was to uplift the voices of diverse women in the area and advocate for their health, safety, well-being and economic advancement. Our students contributed their voices to this important conversation and their input will be shared with representatives at the State House.

Credit For Life
All Masconomet juniors are invited to the 15th Annual Credit for Life Fair on Thursday, May 22nd from 10:00am-12:30pm at Salem State University. This FREE event will host 1,000+ high school juniors from across the North Shore as you simulate life as a 25-year-old adult. With a "paycheck” you will “spend” on everything you need – transportation, food, housing, lifestyle and so much more. The goal? To balance your budget. The bigger goal? To introduce real-world money management and budgeting skills before you graduate high school. Check out this video for more insight to the event.
This event is sponsored and organized by the Institution for Savings. Lunch is provided, as well as many fun activities – and the opportunity to be on a great college campus at Salem State.
To sign up:
1.) Click here, or scan the QR codes on the posters around the first floor Business classrooms and fill out the form.
2.) Complete Field Trip Forms passed out during the Assembly and return to Mrs. Marc-Aurele (Estes), Ms. Richard or Mr. Duplissie's classroom.
Sign Up Online and Return Field Trip Forms no later than Friday, March 14th.
Here is your new episode of The Morning Update. It’s chock full of important announcements along with interviews, elective features, and lots more fun stuff. Thank you for watching!!
Have a great weekend,

Gymnastics
The gymnastics team competes in the State Championship this Saturday, March 1st at Algonquin Regional HS (2pm). Online tickets are available here. Fallon Eberhardt was the NEC All-Around Champion, Kate Mugge was the NEC Champion on beam, and Janey Young was the NEC Champion on floor.
Ski Team
Tuesday’s state championship meet was successful, despite not having qualified a full team for the team competition. Amanda had an outstanding slalom race but unfortunately fell in the GS due to difficult snow conditions. Hannah was outstanding as well, improving on both of her finishes from last year. David and Ethan were both dialed in with finishes in the top 50th. With over 2000 ski racers in the Commonwealth and 150 at the state meet, that is quite an accomplishment! Super proud of these kids and the whole team. Both the boys and the girls teams finished in 2nd place in the league (Girls 9-3, boys 11-3) and the girls won the interscholastic race outright.
Basketball
NEC Champion Boys Basketball Team ran a free clinic for local youth players last weekend.
Girls’ Basketball
The girls’ basketball team finished 18-2 and undefeated in the NEC (13-0) to capture back-to-back league titles!
