I am proud to share some great news—our regular attendance has increased to 80%! This is a testament to the dedication and commitment of our families, and we are truly grateful for your efforts to make attendance a priority.

In addition, today the students participated in a fun vote and chose to enjoy hot cocoa during a lunch recess when we return from Thanksgiving break! This will be a cozy and fun way to celebrate together.

Jackson County Sexual Assault Response Team will be hosting a family information night on Monday, December 2 (5:30-6:30 p.m. for English speakers and 6:30-7:30 p.m. for Spanish speakers) in the Phoenix Elementary media center.

During the meeting, which is open to all PTS families, JC SART representatives will answer questions related to its curriculum that's taught in our schools.

Each month, Rogue Valley Farm to School partners with local farms to bring tastings of our Harvest of the Month. This month, we are exploring different varieties of pears at the cafeteria tasting table on Monday, 12/2! Learn more about locally grown pears by checking out this fun interactive sheet (Spanish version). There you'll find recipes, videos, nutritional info, kids activities, and information about the local farms where the pears were grown! The Elks Hoop Shoot, funded by the Elks National Foundation, is a free throw contest for children ages 8 to 13. This year it takes place at the Ashland YMCA on Saturday, Dec 7th from 10:00am - noon. Age group is determined by contestant's age as of April 1, 2025.
