Parents,
As we approach the colder months, it's a possibility that your child may become ill.
Please be aware that our district has a policy for fevers and vomit; Children with 100.0+ degree F fevers or that have vomited must stay at home until they are fever free/vomit free for 24 hours. Additionally, please be sure to answer the phone for Slate Ridge Elementary (614-501-55XX phone numbers). Trunk or Treat Highlights!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Trunk or Treat on Tuesday night! It was wonderful to see so many families and friends come together for a fun evening filled with creative costumes, decorated trunks, and lots of treats. A special thanks to our staff, volunteers, and ambassadors for making this event a success. We’re grateful for our Slate Ridge community and look forward to more events that bring us all together.
Ambassadors
Our Slate Ridge Ambassadors did an outstanding job presenting a fantastic skit at our RISE assemblies today, highlighting the importance of Respect, Integrity, Self-Control, and Engagement. Their performance was both engaging and inspiring, setting a positive example for all their peers. I am incredibly proud of their hard work and the way they embody our RISE values, leading our school community with such confidence and dedication.
Literacy Corner
A Reading Improvement and Monitoring Plan (RIMP) is a document that Ohio schools and districts use to help students who are not reading on grade level.
The purpose of a RIMP is a collaboration between teachers and parents to identify a student's reading challenges and develop a plan to help them improve.
Please watch the video below to learn more about the Reading Improvement and Monitoring Plans and how they support students so they can become successful readers.

PBIS at SRES
Our Positive Behavioral Interventions & Support (PBIS) program is central to fostering a positive and safe environment for our students. We emphasize consistent language between staff and families to support student growth. This November, our focus is on citizenship, with students practicing what it means to be responsible, respectful members of our community. They will develop this trait with the support of their peers, teachers, our School Counselor, and Social Worker. If you have any questions or want to learn more, please reach out to your student's teacher.
