ROCKS Spotlight
Welcome to the 24-25 school year! On behalf of the entire WHS Leadership Team, I am so excited to welcome your students into our building this Thursday. Whether they are returning or with us for the first time, we are looking forward to having them in our building! We are passionate about our mission at WHS: to make each and every student "Life Ready" and prepared for that day after graduation. To do that we know it is important to champion student learning for ALL and to help your students connect to caring adults and help them find their passions. We work hard to ensure: Every Rock Valued. Every Rock Connected. Every Rock Ready.
We look forward to meeting many of our students and families at tomorrow's New Student Orientation and then all of our families at our Meet the Teacher Night on Thursday, August 15. Please check out our newsletter for upcoming dates and important Back to School Information!

TalkingPoints-Family Communication
Westfield Washington Schools use a program called TalkingPoints to communicate with families! TalkingPoints allows for seamless multilingual two-way communication between teachers and families. Families can choose to receive messages via SMS text messaging or through the free FAMILIES | TalkingPoints mobile app for Apple or Android.
This platform has enhanced translation capabilities, so families can receive and send messages in their preferred language. Additional tools like speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and closed captioned videos make this program accessible to all of our Westfield families.
The most important thing you can do to ensure you are receiving messages from your child’s teacher is to make sure your contact information for the “Father” and “Mother” fields in PowerSchool is correct. When a teacher sends out a message, TalkingPoints will automatically use those two phone numbers. If you’d like to add additional contacts, please reach out to your child’s teacher.
