Arrival and Dismissal
Arrival and Dismissal
Good Morning Parents!
When arriving at school by vehicle, your entry is at the gate at the top of the hill. Once in the lot, please drive around the East side of the building to use lanes 1(blue) & 2 (green) on the map. You may also use lane 3 (yellow) on the West side, this lane has no access to the parking lot. Students may only be let out of their vehicle once it has reached the designated drop off area.
The gates at the bottom of the hill nearest to I-30 are exit-only. Please do not attempt to enter. We will have staff on hand to direct traffic.
All students must be dropped off in the designated drop off zones or walked to the arrival entrance and use the painted crosswalk to cross the driveway. No parents will be allowed into the Pre-K or 2-4 hallways during arrival or dismissal.
If you have a scheduled meeting with a staff member you must go to the main office and be signed in. You will receive a Visitor’s badge and a staff member will pick you up from the front lobby and escort you to your meeting location.
When picking up your student at dismissal, the gate at the top of the hill will be the entrance gate and the one down the hill is an exit-only gate. Drive around the East side of the building using lanes 1 (blue) and 2 (green) when you reach a stop at the front of the building, your student(s) will be sent or walked to your vehicle (see pink lines in the photo). Pre-K -1st Grade students MUST be picked up in these lanes. Parents may pick up on the West side of the building if they have ONLY students in 2nd-8th Grade.
As vehicles are loaded, we will ask you to pull all the way forward and stop before the crosswalk. We ask that you do not exit your vehicle. If there is a need to speak with staff, please pull into an open space once allowed to clear the drop-off/pick-up lanes.
Safety at arrival and dismissal is a top priority, thank you for doing your part!
Tardies
Students who arrive after 7:30 AM must be walked into the building and signed in by a parent or guardian. This is for the safety of all students. Even if the scholar is in Middle School.
Attendance
Attendance at school each day is important for your child's learning and growth. All scholars are expected to be at school and in class by 7:30 AM.
Students who have excessive late arrivals (tardy) could be referred to Truancy Court.
Clubs and Competition Teams
Club sign ups are open on RevTrak!
Registration is on a first come, first served basis.
Clubs will be held Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays
from 3:30 - 4:30 PM. All Clubs and Competition Teams
have a $50 registration fee per club, per semester. We will not
have discounts for families at this time. The fees are to
purchase materials and host end of semester club events.
For example, if you choose to enroll your child in a club on all three days, then the fees for that child for this semester will be $150.
Timely pick up of students at 4:30 PM is expected. Students who are picked up more than 10 minutes late, 3 or more times after clubs are released will be dismissed from the club and no refunds will be issues for fees.
Visit the website link to learn more about clubs being offered.
