Hello Warrior Families!
We have officially wrapped up the first quarter of the school year and ready to jump into the second half of the semester with goals for success all around. Our students have worked hard this past nine weeks and I am so proud of their accomplishments at school. Now is a good time to make sure you are having conversations with them about what it takes to complete their courses successfully and keep moving forward. Attendance, grades, and behavior are all important and can impact graduation goals. Below is some information that might help you understand how GPA is calculated and the importance of earning course credits to graduate. You can check out the information on our student services page for more details. Please take some time to talk with your child about their progress. Report Cards will be issued this Friday, November 8th during Homeroom. If you have questions or concerns about grades, please reach out directly to teachers.
High School Grade Level Promotion: In order for a student to move to the next grade level they must pass a certain number of classes and earn course credits. Students are not promoted based on age or years in school.

- 10th Grade: Must earn at least 6 credits

Warrior Spotlight!
Mrs. Alston-Crudup
This week we would like to shine the Warrior Spotlight on Mrs. Alston-Crudup. She has jumped into her new role in the media center with a student centered approach and has already made some great improvements to how the space is used. Most recently, she has set up a "senior section" to provide a special spot to honor our seniors as they prepare for post high school plans. She has helped provide class coverage and integrated STEM learning into those lessons as much as possible. She has taken on many tasks in her role to ensure that students can access the resources needed to thrive as learners. She has high expectations and she is constantly looking for ways to help us elevate our game at LMHS.
Mrs. Kami Williams
If you ever wonder how we get things done around LMHS, look no further. People like Mrs. Williams are constantly stepping up to take on opportunities to support the goals of the school and keep things rolling day after day. With her quiet demeanor, you would never realize how hard this teacher works behind the scenes to help everyone and anyone that might need it. In addition to leading in her classroom, she helps coach Cheer, and even drives the bus! Thank you for all that you do Mrs. Williams!
Christian Cannady
Jasmine Jones would like to shine the Warrior Spotlight on Christian Cannady. She says, "He is always working hard and has kept A’s and B’s since he was a freshman. He worked all the way up to now and is about to graduate." We are proud of you Christian for your many accomplishments!
His teacher Ms. Crudup says, "Christian has a big personality that is infectious. He is a leader and a hard worker. There's no doubt in my mind that he will be successful after he graduates this year!"
