New Assistant Principals at Elementary Schools
Haley Little, AEN
Haley Little is originally from Arlington. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Texas State University and her Master’s from UTA. Mrs. Little comes to us from Arlington ISD where she has served as a teacher, team leader and math content specialist. She lives in our district and has children in our district. She earned her Master’s in Education Leadership & Policy Studies in 2012.
Rosaline (Lina) Jones, AES
Rosaline (Lina) Jones is originally from Altus, Oklahoma. She earned her Bachelor’s degree and her Master’s from Stephen F. Austin. Ms. Jones served Cleburne ISD as a teacher and a Bilingual Specialist. She comes to us from Crowley ISD where she has served as an assistant principal for the last two years. She stated, “I have two years of experience as an assistant principal. I have a growth mindset, being coachable, and am always on time. I seek solutions to problems; am a team player and I want to continue learning and growing in an administrative role."
Misti Harris, LES
Misti Harris is originally from Waurika, Oklahoma. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma and her Master’s from Grand Canyon University. Mrs. Harris began her employment with Alvarado ISD in 2008 and has served our students since then. She lives in the district and her children go to school in the district. She stated, “With my diverse background encompassing roles as a Special Education Case Manager, Special Education Teacher, Math Lead, and LPAC Representative, I am confident in my ability to contribute effectively to the leadership team and advance the school’s mission of fostering academic excellence and scholar success.”
New Gym Update
PBK, the architect hired to design the new gym for Alvarado High School presented the design documents that have been developed for the AHS Gym Project. Approving the design documents is the next step of the project that is expected to be completed by Dec. 2025. The project should be going out to bid soon with dirt beginning to turn this fall. Current plans for the gym include seating for over 1,400 and the facility will double as a storm shelter for the high school.
