DMS Principal's Corner
October 4, 2024
Dear Dewey Middle School Families,
As we move deeper into the fall season, I want to take a moment to reflect on the great start we've had to the school year and to share some important updates for the month of October.
First, I want to thank all of our students, parents, and staff for making our Homecoming week a success. We witnessed tremendous school pride and engagement, and I am excited to see that continue throughout the rest of the year.
Academic Progress
October is a pivotal month for academics as we approach the end of the first quarter. Teachers are working hard to ensure every student is supported, and I encourage you to keep an eye on grade reports in Infinite Campus and reach out to teachers if you have any concerns. Progress Reports were mailed October 4th. Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on October 10th and 15th, offering a great opportunity to discuss your child’s progress and set goals for the coming months.
Safety Reminder
As the days grow shorter and the weather changes, please remind your children to dress appropriately and to stay safe, especially during morning drop-offs and after-school pick-ups.
Thank you again for your continued support. Together, we are creating an environment where every student can thrive.
Warm regards,
Lauri Wilson
Principal
