We are so thankful to have such a phenomenal and deeply committed Teaching Team Please join us in recognizing and celebrating our Perry Team this week as part of national Teacher Appreciation Week.
Upcoming Calendar
As a reminder, Memorial Day takes place on Monday, May 26th. As we head toward the end of the year, please remember that Juneteenth is on Thursday, June 19th; and our final day of school is Monday, June 23rd.

Invitation to Boston Music Project Showcase on Tuesday, June 3rd
Boston Music Project invites you to attend the BMP Perry End-of-Year Showcase at 10 AM on Tuesday, June 3rd. The Showcase will take place in the Schoolyard (weather permitting).

Q: Whatโs your favorite part about the Perry?
A: My favorite part is being able to see kids having fun, playing with the other kids, learning and getting educated properly.
Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
A: If I could have any superpower, it would be super strength because I would want to protect my family. I would also want to protect the world so it could be a better place.
Q: What's your favorite food?
A: My favorite foods are hamburger helper and dumplings.
Q: What do you want to be when you grow?
A: I would like to be a cop or a swat officer. I want to keep the world safe so everyone can live their lives to the fullest and enjoy it all while they can.
Q: What makes your family special?
A: What makes my family special is that theyโre always there to support me. Even my little brother! I love them bcuz theyโre always there to support and check on me.
The Home Stretch for MCAS and MAP Testing
We are closing in on the end of โMCAS Season.โ Next week, students in Grades 3, 4 and 5 will take the Math MCAS โ followed by one final week for fifth and sixth graders on the 20th and 21st.
As always, please encourage kids to relax, take some deep breaths, and just do their best. MCAS Tips For Families
Grade 3 and 4: Math on Tuesday 5/13 and Wednesday 5/14
Grade 5: Math on Tuesday 5/13 and Wednesday 5/14; Science on Tuesday 5/20 and Wednesday 5/21
Grade 6: Math on Tuesday, May 20 and Wednesday, May 21
MAP Testing: For all Grades K2 to Grade 6, classes will be completing end-of-year MAP testing at some point between May 28th and June 7th. As a reminder, we use the MAP as just one data point to inform us on how students are progressing and help to inform us on instructional next steps.

Get Out N' Play
Get Out N' Play Sports Sampler program for ages 3-8. A fun and active way for kids to stay engaged this summer!
This 5-week program offers a variety of sports, swim and outdoor games designed to keep participants moving and having fun. Families have the flexibility to register for either the morning (AM), afternoon (PM), or both sessions.
Program Highlights:
- Runs for 5 weeks
- Flexible AM and/or PM session registration
- Focus on fun, fitness, and skill-building
- Great alternative to traditional day camp
