• Instruction begins at 7:45 and the tardy bell rings at 7:50. If you arrive past 7:50 please walk your child to the doors so you can sign them into the office.

• If you have any transportation changes, please make sure that you let Ms. Donna know by 2:30. This helps ensure that she has enough time to alert teachers of the change.

• Make sure that you label all of your child's items with their name
• If your child goes to daycare, please make sure to let the daycare know when your child won't be going to daycare on specific days for any reason. When you don't let the daycare know, it can really cause confusion for both the daycare and our school. Thank you!

LAST DAY TO ORDER YEARBOOKS IS TUESDAY, MARCH 11TH. PLEASE ORDER BEFORE MARCH 11TH IN ORDER TO RESERVE YOUR COPY.

Calling all WESTSIDE PARENTS!

This semester we have a building wide goal of getting our students talking to each other more productively! Peer to Peer relationships are vital to the learning process, and we are implementing a few strategies to help our students talk, discuss, and learn together using these simple terms.

Can you help us at home when you are talking with your children? Whether you are talking about their day at Westside, how they played during their sporting event that evening, or what your weekend plans are, these tips can help make conversations more engaging!

The last two days we have focused on Clarifying and Paraphrasing!!

• It is State and National School Counseling Week! Below are just some of the things I can help you and your child with!

• WOW!! What an amazing week we had for Kindness Week. Our students at Westside are the best! The acts of Kindness shown were so evident in our building this week were incredible. Ms. Page is so proud of these kiddos and their big hearts!

It's Scholastic Book Fair time! From February 6-14, come experience the limitless possibilities with your kids. Every purchase benefits our school. Don't forget to set up your student's eWallet account for cashless, stress-less shopping. Friends and family can even contribute funds!

*Unspent funds from a past Fair? To transfer them to this Fair, log in to your Scholastic account and create a new eWallet—then your previous balance will be available to transfer as an eGift Card.

Kids Heart Challenge begins Feb. 3 and goes through Feb. 28th. All donations will need to be turned in by February 28th. I encourage ALL families to go over Finn's Mission on the website to learn life saving skills!

• Reminder: if your child is sent home for vomiting or fever, our policy is that they must be fever free without the use of Tylenol or Ibuprofen and not vomited in a 24 hour period.
• Please remember to pack an extra set of clothing in your child's backpack in case of accident or mud at recess, especially for any kids in K-2.
