Cedar Families,

I hope all students, staff, and families get much-needed rest this weekend. Illness has been impacting everyone this season so we are hopeful everyone will get back to being as healthy as they can. Our students have done an amazing job of completing ACCESS testing (still in progress) and we are excited to celebrate together once we are done with all tests.

For PBIS, we are focusing on caring and we will have a fun assembly once we complete our Kindness bingo heart.

Espero que todos los estudiantes, el personal y las familias tengan el descanso necesario este fin de semana. Las enfermedades han estado afectando a todos esta temporada por lo que esperamos que todos vuelvan a estar tan saludables como puedan. Nuestros estudiantes han hecho un trabajo asombroso de completar las pruebas ACCESS (todavía en progreso) y estamos emocionados de celebrar juntos una vez que hayamos terminado con todas las pruebas.

Para PBIS, nos estamos enfocando en el "cuidado" y tendremos una asamblea divertida una vez que completemos nuestro corazón de Kindness bingo.

Unfortunately we have had to change the date of the Cedar Ridge Bed Blitz. The company donating the mattresses was not able to make the 2/19 date. We have rescheduled the Bed Blitz for March 5 from 4:00-5:30 with delivery after.

PTO Spring Fundraiser Info Coming Soon!
Students will be bringing home information for our Spring Fundraiser on Friday, February 28. We’ll be selling frozen pastries and cookie dough from Perfect Pastries. The fundraiser will run from February 28-March 17. Product pick up will be held at the school on April 9.

Thanks to all of your support with the Read-A-Thon during the Fall, we were able to replenish playground equipment for the students. Proceeds from the Spring Fundraiser will be used towards technology upgrades for the building.

¡Muy pronto enviaremos información sobre la recaudación de fondos de primavera del PTO!

Los estudiantes traerán a casa información para nuestra recaudación de fondos de primavera el viernes 28 de febrero. Estaremos vendiendo repostería congelada y masa para galletas de Perfect Pastries. La recaudación de fondos será del 28 de febrero al 17 de marzo. Recogida de productos se llevará a cabo en la escuela el 9 de abril.

Gracias a todo su apoyo con el Read-A-Thon (Maraton de Lectura) durante el otoño, hemos sido capaces de reponer el equipo de patio de recreo para los estudiantes. Los ingresos de la recaudación de fondos de primavera se utilizarán para mejoras tecnológicas para el edificio.

On 2/7 we will celebrate our Out of this world Celebration at the APC church.

Times are as follows:

K-2 will go from 1:30-1:55

3-5 will go from 1:55-2:20

Our PBIS focus for February is caring. We will be teaching students what it means to be kind by reading books and engaging in activities of kindness. Students will also receive a book titled We are All Connected/Todos Estamos Conectados which emphasizes the importance of kindness.

Nuestro enfoque PBIS para febrero es el cuidado. Estaremos enseñando a los estudiantes lo que significa ser amable mediante la lectura de libros y la participación en actividades de bondad. Los estudiantes también recibirán un libro titulado We are All Connected/Todos Estamos Conectados que hace enfoque en la importancia de la bondad.

Please remember to contact the school office as soon as possible if your child will be absent. You can call the attendance line at 309-557-4462 or email our secretary, Brooke Starr, at starrbr@unit5.org and the classroom teacher to report the absence. Be sure to include your child's name, grade, and reason for the absence.
