Notes from the Office
Happy Homecoming!
There is nothing like experiencing the excitement of Homecoming through the eyes of Kindergarten & First Grade Students! They had a lot of fun with the band, cheerleaders, football players and most importantly, Eddie!
Next Wednesday, October 20th, there is a very important meeting at the Intermediate School at 6:00. This meeting outlines the changes to the pickup zone at the back of the Primary Building. As I have previously mentioned, there are changes occurring due to directives from MDOT.
As of October 21st, there will no longer be walk-ups to the green fence. We are starting this procedure early in order to prepare for the other changes that will occur. If you pickup at the fence, please plan to use the drive-up lane.
The other changes will take affect on November 1st. If you are unable to attend the meeting, we will send out more information after the meeting.
Enjoy your weekend.

Buses
I am beginning to see an influx of bus referrals for inappropriate behaviors on the school buses. When a student receives more than two bus referrals, they may be suspended from riding on the buses. Our students know that the building expectations of being safe, respectful and responsible are the same expectations on the bus. If you have a bus rider, please remind your rider that they must say seated, keep their hands, feet and objects to themselves and to only use school appropriate language on the bus.
Federal Mask Mandate
In January, the CDC issued an order requiring masks on all public transportation. This is not a recommendation. Since public and private school buses are considered public transportation, all students must have a mask on to get on the bus and they are required to wear it throughout the entire bus ride. EPS provides disposable mask for emergency situations, however, your student is expected to have his/her own mask on a daily basis.
PBIS
At the end of the month, one Eddie will get a very special surprise for following our expectations.
