Welcome to the new school year! We are eagerly anticipating the arrival of students through our doors after nearly 5 months of hallways that have been far too quiet. While the year ahead may look different in many ways, know that our commitment to creating a safe and supportive learning environment remains unchanged. Our priorities will be getting to know your child in all aspects of who they are and building strong relationships that will serve as the foundation upon which we can foster their growth, no matter what the year throws at us.

This newsletter contains valuable information for all families. We hope you will find it to be helpful as you prepare for your child(ren) to return back on Monday, August 10th.

August 7th- No School. Remote Learning Materials Pick Up, 9 AM -2 PM

August 10th-First Day of School
November 2nd- Student/Parent/Teacher Conferences-E-Day

(Note: Teachers of remote instruction will serve students across ZCS campuses. I have noted the home school campus for each remote teacher)

As you know, we already have your required documents used for registration. However, there may be some other documents/materials that some families may need to provide. A list of possible other documents that you may want to bring with you are below:

• Medical forms/Health plans
• Student Medication Drop-Off- One of our nurses will be on campus during the welcome events. If you have medical questions or need to drop-off student medication, you will have the opportunity to speak with them before or after your session.
• Legal/Court Documentation

• Please see the map below for parking. We respectfully request everyone please park in the back parking lot and enter through door #10 (door numbers are found above the doors)

• First 5 minutes: Upon entering door #10, you will be greeted by a staff member (wearing a mask). Your family may be asked to wait inside (6 feet apart) as we finish up with the prior group. Once we are ready, families will be directed to the cafe. Families should sit together at a numbered table and sit so you are able to see the screen.

• Next 25-30 minutes: Parent Presentation by Mrs. Largent (principal) and Mrs. Farley (assistant principal). This is our time to get to know you and to share with you pertinent information about SGE, such as: The first day of -school, safety procedures for the coming year, drop-off/pick-up, background checks, answer questions, etc . . . Children can stay with you in the cafe.
  

• Last 10-15 minutes: Families will take a tour of the SGE building. Families will be split up into two groups (for smaller crowd size).
