Bordeaux Elementary School

Dear Families,

Friday evening was an exciting time for our Bordeaux Bulldog Families. First, our Bordeaux Elementary PTSO held its first annual Penguin Patch Holiday Shopping event. Students and their families had an opportunity to shop for a variety of holiday items. The proceeds go to the Bordeaux PTSO to fund family and teacher activities. The second event was our annual Family Art Night. This is an opportunity for our school staff to thank our families by providing a variety of art and craft activities. This event was again coordinated by our school’s art teacher Mr. Hill but he couldn’t have pulled this off without the wonderful support of his colleagues here at our school. I want to thank the Bordeaux PTSO for providing funds to our staff in order to purchase the materials for the event.

I also want to take a moment and thank two community organizations that have provided help each year for our families. The Rotary Club of Shelton Skookum and the Rotary Club of Shelton have been extremely supportive of our school communities over the many years helping our families at this time of year. They are a continued reminder of what makes Shelton so special as a community. Thank you again to both organizations.

This Friday we are celebrating another gain in our Bulldog Tickets! Students have earned the right to wear their PJs to school. We do ask that blankets are kept at home. Friday is also a half day and students will be released at 12:30.

This has been a tremendous first part of the year. We are all so proud of our Bulldogs and excited to see all the growth they have made already. Our success wouldn’t be possible without your continued support. We have the greatest community at Bordeaux and feel blessed to be working with such wonderful families. Regardless of what your plans are for the Winter Break, know that we care about you, your families, and your students and truly hope that you are safe and happy over these next two weeks. We look forward to seeing everyone back in 2025!
