Hilltop Elementary School

Since 2022, over 10 Morris County schools have passed successful referendums. Every NJ taxpayer pays toward school improvements, but only districts that have voter approval can take advantage of that funding to make investments in their schools.

Other local school districts (West Morris Regional, Mendham Township, Washington Township) have taken advantage of these tax dollars to make improvements; we want to ensure that Mendham Borough gets its fair share, too - WHICH IS MORE THAN $3.3 MILLION!

Here in Mendham Borough, community input gathered through the Strategic Planning process guided us toward the same path of asking voters to consider investing in our PreK-8 schools on Jan. 28.

• Drop begins at 8:15am Students are unsupervised until that time, so please do not drop off your child before 8:15am.

• Please make sure to call the school with any dismissal changes after 1pm.

• Please do not park in the Mendham Medical Parking Lot during drop-off and dismissal

• Crossing guards wanted! The Mendham Borough Police is in need of substitute crossing guards. If you (or someone you know) is interested, please contact Officer McNichol at:

The purpose of the Mendham Borough School District Chain of Command is to clarify and simplify the process for contacting the school about a specific concern or matter. Please use the chart below as a guide for determining who should be the primary contact based on the nature of the matter/concerns. One should always start with the individual or office responsible for the area at Level 1 before proceeding up the chain of command as it becomes necessary.
