Coppell Choir Family,

It has been another great week in the Coppell Choir Room!

A Cappella Choir (3rd period) had an amazing performance at the University of Dallas this past Wednesday. They shared the stage with some other amazing High School choirs from the DFW area. They also enjoyed a concert AND sang with the illustrious choral group, Chanticleer. A Cappella continues to raise the bar of their performance.

The Tenor Bass singers of Coppell High School sang the National Anthem at the Home Football Game with the CISD Tenor Bass Choir, including singers from all three middle schools. They sounded AMAZING!! Truly great work from every singer!

This coming Tuesday we have Honor Choir Auditions. Be sure to check all the details if you are auditioning.

Audition Date: October 29, 2024 (Tuesday)
Audition Site: Euless Jr HS (304 W. Airport Freeway Euless, TX 76039)

Transportation: Singers will be released from 8th period class and ride the CISD bus to the audition site. Once singers are done, parent/guardian can pick up their child or singers can ride the bus back to CHS.

CHS9 Singers: Please come straight to CHS9 Choir Room after 7th period. You will NOT go to ​8th period class.
CHS Singers: ​Please ​come straight to CHS Choir room after 7th period. You will NOT go to 8th period class.
NTH@C Singers: ​Leave your 7th period class at 2:30PM to catch the shuttle to CHS in front of ​NTH@C. Once you ​arrive in CHS, ​come straight to CHS Choir Room.

$20 cancellation fee will be applied if you decide not to audition AFTER completing this form or if you cannot audition due to eligibility.

3rd Period A Cappella,

• Call time for SENIORS: 7AM in your Senior Overall & Dress for girls and button-up shirt and jeans for boys.
• Call time for EVERYONE ELSE (Sophomores & Juniors): 7:20AM in your concert attire with hair and make up done.

Photoshoot schedule:

• 7AM: All seniors will arrive in senior outfits and meet the directors by the senior bridge (by the CHS Library). You may arrive early to drop off your stuff in the CHS Choir Room but be sure to be on time as we will NOT wait for anyone.

• 7:20AM - All other singers come meet the directors in front of CHS (by the flagpoles). Be sure to come dressed in your uniform. No need to put your stuff in the Choir room. You can leave your stuff by the benches and bring it back to the Choir room once we are done.

SRF Monthly Quizzes

You will take a monthly SRF quiz at the end of every month. This will be a Performance Tasks

Grade. You only get 2 tries so be sure that your wifi connection is good and your audio sound is

on. You have the entire month to take the quiz. Every month’s quiz will be due on the LAST

FRIDAY of the month at 10PM. NO LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

SRF Month Quiz Due dates:

SRF Practice Log

Each singer is expected to practice sight reading on SRF for 10 minutes per week (2 minutes

each day of the week) and 40 minutes per month. This will be a completion grade. SRF will

keep track of all your practice log data. We will give one Performance Tasks monthly SRF

Practice Log each month. Please be sure to practice SRF weekly. Each week will start on SUNDAY and end on SATURDAY.
