- 5th-8th Grade CO-ED Big10 Volleyball League - βWe are in need of several more volunteer coaches for this program! Please indicate your willingness to coach while registering your child. If you have already registered and did not indicate you'd like to coach, but are interested in coaching, please email Recreation Supervisor, Alisha Fix, at fixa@mcfsd.org. Volunteer coaches should plan on attending a virtual coach meeting, 5:45PM Wednesday, January 8th. β 2024 MRAP Holiday "Light Fight" Home Decorating Contest π
McFarland residents, it's time to light up the season! Show off your holiday spirit by decorating the exterior of your home for a chance to win fun prizes in our FREE Holiday Light Fight Home Decorating Competition!
Here's how it works:
- Register your home by 11:59 PM on Monday, December 9th, 2024 - One registration per household.
- Have your home decorated by Thursday, December 12th for voting to begin.
- Online voting will run from December 13th - January 1st, 2025, and all McFarland residents are encouraged to vote for their favorite home!
What to expect:
- On December 13th, we'll post a list and map of participating homes on our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/ McFarlandRAP.
- Enjoy walking or driving through McFarland to view the decorated homes and vote using the online form (link to the form will be posted on Facebook).
- Important for decorators: Please ensure your display is lit nightly from December 13th to January 1st so everyone has a chance to enjoy your hard work!
- The top three homes with the most votes will win some AWESOME prizes from local businesses!
- βThank you to our 2024 Sponsors & Prize Donors: Alliant Energy, Tom's Auto Center, Home Depot, and Anytime Fitness!
2024 Prizes - Prize packs will be created with these items for the top three homes:
- Alliant Energy: A signed basketball from UW Men's Basketball Coach, Greg Guard!

π Big10 CO-ED Youth Volleyball League π
2025 Big10 5th-8th Grade Co-Ed Volleyball - Register by December 19th!
Get ready to serve up some fun with the Big10 Volleyball League! Designed for young athletes in grades 5-8, this program focuses on learning skills, building confidence, and competing against players of similar skill levels. Modified rules ensure success for all, making this a great opportunity for players of any experience level!
- Season Dates: January 16th - March 9th, 2025
- Sunday Tournaments: February 9th, 16th, 23rd, March 2nd & 9th (approx. 12-4 PM)
- Fee: $80 (Resident) / $104 (Non-Resident) - includes a t-shirt
- Practice Times: Varies by grade level, check MRAPNews.com for full program details
- Registration Deadline: 11:59 PM on December 19th, 2024
- Parent Coaches Needed: Volunteer during registration! A mandatory virtual coach meeting will be held at 5:45 PM on Wednesday, January 8th, 2025.

Warm up this winter with a hands-on soup-making experience! Learn the art of crafting hearty, flavorful soups perfect for the chilly Wisconsin season. Our expert instructor will show you how to prepare comforting soups, perfect for the crockpot and easy to freeze for future meals.
Leave with multiple ready-to-cook soup kits to enjoy cozy, home-cooked goodness anytime! π₯
During the class, participants will:
- Prepare a variety of soups featuring seasonal ingredients and comforting flavors.
- Learn tips for making soups in bulk, freezing, and reheating for future meals.
- Leave with multiple crockpot-ready soup kits to enjoy at home.

π NEW! MRAP Indoor Morning Walk Program πΆ
Start your day off right with our FREE Morning Walk program!
Join us for a peaceful and energizing indoor morning walk at McFarland High School this winter!
The Morning Walk program will run Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Thursdays, November 19th-March 13th, on days that school is in session, 6:00-7:15AM at McFarland High School.
Please check in at the Angie O'Donnell Aquatic Center before starting your walk
Participants may park in the back parking lot of McFarland High School (6204 Exchange St. McFarland, WI) and use door P to enter the building. The Aquatic Center is located to your left after you enter the building. Please use the "self sign-in station" at the pool to register for the day (there is no fee associated with this program).
After signing in, participants are free to head north down the pool/PAC hallway to access the "B-gym hallway loop" and start their walk. Walking is permitted around the b-gym hallway (not in the gym itself). Pool staff can assist you with any questions you may have.
Running is not allowed
10 laps around the b-gym hallway is approximately 1 mile
Participants are highly encouraged to walk with a buddy for safety
If any first aid is needed, please come to the pool for assistance
