The credit recovery lab will be open Monday-Thursday from 8:00am -12:00 noon beginning June 10, 2024 through July 18, 2024. There will be no school on June 19th or July 4.

No transportation will be provided.

Registration for credit recovery will take place June 6th in the cafeteria from 8AM-12PM.

Senior Night will be held on Tuesday, August 27th at 5:30 pm in the Theater. The School Counselors will be discussing the following topics: college bound information, career information, SAT, ACT, AICE and AP Testing information, as well as, college decision process, meeting deadlines, Bright Futures, community service requirements and graduation. We hope to see you and your family there.

Freshman, Sophomore & Junior Night will be held on Tuesday, September 24th at 5:30 pm in the theater. The School Counselors will discuss the following topics: graduation requirements, AICE and AP information, Bright Futures, Dual enrollment, PSAT and SAT information and much more. We hope to see you and your family there.

Attention Juniors, if you have not passed your Algebra 1 EOC or ELA testing requirement for graduation, you can sign up for the summer ACT (July) and/or CLT. West Boca is closed for summer testing but the CLT can be taken remotely. Please see links below for test dates and sign up information.

Dual enrollment and FLVS requests must be completed by May 31st as the school counselors are unavailable over summer.

• PBSC will NOT use Booksmart (for Summer ONLY)

• Vouchers will not be provided for summer term

• Fall and Spring Dual Enrollment will revert back to using BookSmart and the voucher system. This is only for summer classes

• Summer B: July 3rd, 2024

Seniors - Class of 2025

TRIO will be returning to WBHS in August and are available to help with College Applications, Career Assessments, Scholarships, FAFSA and more. TRIO will be on campus from 12pm-2pm on the following dates: August 29th, September 12th, September 26th, October 10th, October 24th, November 7th, November 21st and December 5th.

*Sign up is required and will take place at the beginning of the school year.

Are you interested in attending a 4-year university? If yes, think about the following.

• Do your research. Each university has different admissions requirements (e.g., GPA ranges, test score expectations, letters of recommendation, etc.)

• Start early!

• Common App, https://www.commonapp.org/, is live for the Class of 2025 starting August 1, 2024

• Prepare for and register to take the SAT and/or ACT if needed. Florida Public Universities (FAU, UF, FSU, UCF…) will require a standardized test score for admissions

• Be mindful of your deadlines!

A 4-year university education is one of many options upon graduation. A 2-year college degree may be a good starting point for your post-secondary education. The benefits include:

• Lower cost

• Flexible schedules

• Smaller class sizes

• Easier application process

• Career-focused education (trade programs)

All seniors should sign up for their photography session as soon as possible. Note: All seniors should have their photo taken by December 13, 2024 to ensure yearbook and graduation inclusion. Most seniors complete their senior photography sessions in July and August!!!

Welcome new Medical Academy Students! Please join the new student google classroom to get information for the Medical Academy over the summer . The code is : Class code nr7572g

We will be having a Medical Academy Orientation on August 1 that we call Med Camp. Over the summer we will send out information on registration for the day. The minimum fee will include a Medical T Shirt ( that can be worn in classes instead of scrub top ) and lunch. We will be selling scrubs during med camp and taking orders for other items.

If you do not have a Palm Beach county student number and do not have access to google classroom, email Mrs Stiepleman at stephanie.stiepleman@palmbeachschools.org and she can add you to the list.

Reminder for all West Boca band students that we will have summer rehearsals that are required for all band members of next year's band program.

Percussion only will have rehearsals on July 17 and 18 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Full Band Camp (for everyone) will be July 22nd through the 25th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and again August 5th through 7th from 3:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
