Sentinel Snapshot

What a great school year we had Sentinels. On June 5th we graduated the Class of 2024 at Saint Martin's University, which included 228 Joyful and Confident Graduates. From those graduates, $4,916,142 were offered to students moving on to post Secondary Education. Way to go Class of 2024!

We had lots of accomplishments from athletics to clubs making huge strides moving the schools culture in the right direction.

From the three of us thank you for your support this year. Its an honor to be able to help support and educate the incredible students here at SHS.

This summer we have a partnership with PCSC for summer school. Please note, Students who attended PCSC Summer School must provided there own transportation and students are responsible for their own lunch, as SHS does not provide lunch or transportation for summer school.

• Registration for Fall Sports will open on July 15th.
• We will be rolling out a new registration platform that will be more user-friendly for parents, coaches, and our Athletics department.
• Be on the lookout on Parent Square over the next four weeks for training videos and information on how to use the new system.
• To prepare for the transition, please make sure your student's physical is less than 2 years old as of Jun 1, 2025, and that you have a copy of it even if you submitted it into the old system.

New this summer is Freshmen Orientation. All incoming freshmen should attend. It will be held on Tuesday, August 20 starting at 8:00 AM and wrapping up around 12 PM, right when Sentinel Day starts. Please register for this event.

Sentinel Day will be a little different this year. It will be from 12-3 PM and will still have clubs, athletics, and activities information, opportunities to sign up for meetings with your grade level Counselor, tour the school, and the options to pay fees and fines. No School Pictures will be taken this day. Come see friends and get ready for the start of the school year.

Steilacoom Historical School District uses ParentSquare for school communication, primarily with email, text and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number. We encourage parents to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified.
