Principal Newsletter Notes

Hi Bulldog Families,

Last week we had Devin Wyman, former NFL defensive lineman, came speak to our students about being true to one's self. This assembly was impactful for our students and helps the Bulldog community reach its goal for being a No Place for Hate. Please continue conversations at home about setting goals for ourselves and putting positivity out into the world. I am so proud of the Bunker Hill community's commitment to making our school a place we all want to be. Never forget that being a bulldog is more than a mascot!

As the first marking period comes to a close, make sure you have access to Genesis. Elective cycles will switch after November 6th. There are a lot of activities coming up in the next several weeks as well. Keep an out for our flyers.

This Friday is our Harvest Dance. Tickets can be purchased in school for $10. Students may wear costumes. Remember, if you are absent or suspended, you cannot attend after school events. Students will be dropped off in the back of the school, and picked up in the front of the school.

Attendance Matters - Attendance is a requirement for many events and trips at school.

Parent Directory

Students who walk or are driven to school are permitted entry into the building at 7:55. This is 20 minutes prior to the start of the school day. We cannot have students enter the building until staff are able to receive them. If a student is dropped off between 7:55 and 8:10, they are to report to the cafeteria.

How it works....

Step 1: Order a pumpkin by clicking here

**Please deliver your payment of $10 to Mrs, Kubik in Room A11 by Wednesday, October 23rd**

Step 2: Pumpkins will be delivered to your 8th period classroom on Thursday, October 24th by a Bulldog Ambassador or We Are Bulldogs Club Member

Step 3: Take your pumpkin home and decorate!

Family members are invited to participate in the fun!

Step 4: Bring your decorated pumpkin to the cafeteria during before or during homeroom on Monday, October 28th.

On October 31st, staff members will vote on three categories: Scariest, Cutest, and Most Creative!

**Student names will not be attached to pumpkins during voting** Winning pumpkins will receive a prize and bragging rights!

Pumpkins will be used as decorations for the Harvest Dance or picked up on Halloween.

ALL FUNDS RAISED WILL BENEFIT STUDENT RECOGNITION AT BUNKER HILL

Cellphones are to be kept in lockers and out of sight during the school day. Students who are not feeling well or are having difficulties are able to go to the nurse or guidance office. There, we can contact home together. We do not allow students to text home throughout the day. We appreciate your cooperation.
