This is where it ALL begins in Argyle ISD! The foundation of growing academically and in UIL competitions is fostered at the elementary level. This year's UIL Academic Meet was a great success with more than 400 dedicated competitors focused on their events, having fun and soaring together.

The competition included students grades 2nd through 5th and the events were Maps Graphs & Charts, Art Smart, Music Memory, Listening, Spelling, Chess Puzzles, Ready Writing, Dictionary Skills, Social Studies, Oral Reading, Number Sense, Storytelling and Creative Writing.

With hours of practice and coaching guidance these students are capable of expanding their learning and taking the first steps toward academic excellence. Special thanks to UIL coordinators Hillary Laird, Shelly Moses and April Torres.

This week we had the pleasure of celebrating our campus counselors in Argyle ISD! We made special treats for each of them, courtesy of Eagles Partners & Argyle Party & Gift, and they were delivered to the campuses by the Argyle ISD Board of Trustees.

These outstanding counselors do a tremendous job every day helping support and provide excellent guidance for our Eagles. They are a great resource for students and impact their educational journey!

There is ONE more chance to attend the Argyle ISD Police Department Safety Education presentation - EASE next week! It will be held Monday, Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Argyle Middle School Lecture Hall.

All families from any campus in Argyle ISD are invited to attend. Come join us and learn more about the Argyle ISD Police Department and security in the district.

The Argyle ISD Board of Trustees will hold a Special Meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 12. The agenda will include an action item related to a potential May 2025 bond election. The community-led Bond & Growth Planning Committee presented its proposal to the School Board during a special meeting in January. If the bond election is called, Argyle ISD will release detailed information about the bond proposal and election information. The meeting will start at 4 p.m. and will be live-streamed on the district's YouTube channel.

The “Living for Zachary Heart Screening” is a special screening program created by Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital – Plano. The screenings are available for youth ages 12-22 that can help detect heart abnormalities that may lead to Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA).

📸The PLAYOFFS are here!! The Argyle Lady Eagles basketball team will open the UIL Class 5A Division II playoffs on Monday vs. Granbury! Argyle will be the home team.

Argyle finished the regular season on Tuesday with a 50-28 victory at Birdville. The Lady Eagles are 29-5 overall and finished 11-1 in district.
