Dear Ricardo Estrada Middle School Parents and Community,
We begin February with STAAR Interim Assessments, these will serve as a snapshot of current student performance to determine mastery of grade level expectations. As always, we strive for an optimal learning environment for all of our FALCONS. Please take note of the campus activities headed our way this month. Dear Falcon community,
Happy February! This month, our guidance lessons will be centered on Kindness, Love, and Friendship. Families are encouraged to discuss positive relationships and kindness with their middle schoolers. You are invited to participate in a kindness challenge! Not all acts of kindness require planning and advanced notice. In fact, people all over the world are spreading kindness right now, instinctively.
Foster a kindness habit in your children with these simple and spontaneous acts of compassion.

SCHOOL SUPPLIESπ
All of our students received free school supplies, backpack, and agenda on their first day of school. If your child needs any additional resource, please contact our school at 915-926-4800.
PARENT DROP-OFF & PICK-UPπ
Morning Drop-Off
- Parents may drop off students from 7:30-8:15 a.m. (the drop-off gates will close at 8:20 a.m.)
- Breakfast is served in the classroom from 8:20-8:30 a.m.
- For the safety of our students, please do not drop-off students in the parking lots or through the driveways.
- Parking lots will be reserved for parents and visitors who have to attend business in the office; please park and sign-in with our front office.
**Tardies: if you are running late to drop-off your child, please have your child use the main entrance so that we can direct them to the attendance office.
Afternoon Pick-Up
- School dismisses at 3:50 p.m. and parents may pick-up in the same area as drop-off.
- For the safety of our students, please please do not drop-off students in the parking lots or through the driveways.

**Please be safe and be alert as children are arriving and dismissing.
