Message from Principal Terri Jackson
Dear Woodland Families,
What a wonderful first week of school we’ve had! It’s been a whirlwind of busy, joyful days filled with smiles, laughter, and learning around every corner. While both students and staff ended each day a bit tired, the energy in the building was undeniable.
Our new playground was a huge hit! With the gorgeous weather, it became the perfect place for our kids to make new friends and enjoy their recess time. We’re truly thrilled to welcome back our Woodland scholars!
A special thank you to our incredible PTO! From the vibrant chalk drawings and encouraging messages on the first day to the thoughtful treats and bagels for our staff, your ongoing support and partnership are critical to our success. We’re excited to kick off the PTO-sponsored Fun Run—one of our most popular events and biggest fundraisers of the year. You should have received a packet and communication from your child’s teacher this week. We thank you all in advance for supporting the Fun Run!
On Wednesday, September 18, 2024, from 4:45 to 6:00 p.m., Woodland will host Parent Information Night. This is an opportunity for families to learn more about their child’s learning day in their new class. You will get a chance to hear about your child's daily schedule, homework expectations, content areas, and upcoming special events. Each grade level will offer two classroom sessions: 5:00–5:25 p.m. and 5:30–6:00 p.m. The PTO Food Truck Night will al be held on the same evening. You will be able to purchase many kinds of food and drink options from the various food trucks.
Important Reminders:
School hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please do not drop off your child before 9:15 a.m., as there is no adult supervision available before that time.
Please call the office by 3:00 p.m. for any changes to your child’s transportation. For your child’s safety and well-being, we may not be able to honor changes if we do not receive communication by 3:00 p.m. Thank you for your cooperation with this important matter.
Once again, we thank you for your tremendous support and partnership!
With gratitude,
Terri Jackson
Principal
