Chatman Signs with Sewanee
Congratulations to Brandon Chatman!
Brandon Chatman signed to play football for Sewanee: The University of the South during a National Signing Day ceremony in the DHS Auditorium on Wednesday.
Chatman becomes the latest of more than 120 former Irish players to sign to play at the collegiate level during Coach Roger Holmes’ tenure at Dublin.
The three-year starter compiled an impressive career stat line: 76 tackles, 29.5 tackles for loss, 7 sacks, and 10 QB pressures while anchoring the defensive line.
Off the field, in addition to maintaining a stellar academic record, Chatman was selected First Team All-Region in both 2023 and 2024. On Tuesday, he also earned First Team All-State honors from the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association.
About Sewanee: The University of the South
Located in Sewanee, Tennessee, Sewanee is a private liberal arts college known for its rigorous academics and picturesque campus. In the 2025 edition of U.S. News & World Report’s Best Colleges, Sewanee is ranked #45 among National Liberal Arts Colleges.
Sewanee Tigers Football
The Sewanee Tigers compete in NCAA Division III as members of the Southern Athletic Association (SAA). As of February 2023, the team is led by Head Coach Andy McCollum.
In the 2024 season, the Tigers secured two victories, including reclaiming the Orgill Cup with a win over Rhodes College for the first time since 2018. The team also had four closely contested losses.
Sewanee is recognized for its strong academic programs and commitment to providing a high-quality liberal arts education. With a low student-faculty ratio, the university offers a personalized learning experience and exceptional mentorship opportunities.
Congratulations again, Brandon! We can’t wait to see all you accomplish at the next level!
Irish Volunteer at Night to Shine
We’re so excited to be part of Night to Shine tonight in Dublin, Georgia! When the organizers reached out and asked if our students could help, we jumped at the chance—so we brought almost 30 of them!
Night to Shine, hosted by the Tim Tebow Foundation, is an unforgettable prom night experience for people with special needs. From a red carpet entrance to dancing, karaoke, limo rides, and even a crowning ceremony, it’s a night full of joy and celebration.
We’re beyond grateful for the opportunity to serve and celebrate alongside these incredible guests. It’s going to be an amazing night, and we can’t wait to make memories that will last a lifetime!
