Academic Counseling
I will continue to meet with students via google meet as I had to reschedule all the students from Monday due to our internet outage caused by the lightning. If you did not make it to the meeting and would like to reschedule, please click on the link below and schedule an appointment. Out of 69 students scheduled (not including the ones from Monday) only 16 showed up to their meeting, OUCH, that's 23% of you guys. These meetings are important as we discuss your credits, classes, and short/long term goal(s). This is how I get to know if one of your goals is to transfer back to your comprehensive school site.
I can't stress this enough, PLEASE SHOW UP TO YOUR MEETINGS. If you can't, please reschedule. Here is the link to reschedule:

If we do not get at least 15 students enrolled in this course, there is a risk of it going away.
Bitmoji Virtual Office
You can find my bitmoji virtual office in your counseling google classroom. Go to assignments and it should be located there.
Tips for the week:
1. Relax: When you can relax your mind, anxiety will be far less likely to pay you a visit. Here are a few things you can do: take a walk, take a bath or shower, practice yoga, deep breathing, listen to some music or calming sounds (some of these are located in my bitmoji virtual office), and/or get your crafty side out. These are just a few suggestions, there are so many more things that can help you relax, you just have to find the right activity that best helps you.
2. Eat healthy- I know, I know, I was a teenager once, and would get annoyed when adults would tell me this, but trust me, this is important! The sad part is that I didn't realize it until I was in my twenties, bummer! Breakfast is essential, if your anxiety makes your stomach too nervous or you are not a breakfast person, start with something light, easy to digest. Try to cut down on sugar, and eat more small meals throughout the day if you have to. Remember, your body is like a car, it needs good quality fuel to keep running.
3. Getting enough exercise: Exercising will help you concentrate more effectively and think more creatively, boost your mood and lower your overall anxiety, and help you sleep. Try it, I challenge you!
