Week 10: Cell Division and Protein

Important Dates for the Week
Last week we finished understanding the basic structure of DNA. This week, we will resume our focus on understanding the function of the nucleus as we will seek to understand the cell cycle as a cell divides itself for growth, development and repair. We will also learn more about how DNA functions as instructions for the production of proteins.

I am a Nationally Board Certified Science Teacher with 12 years of teaching experience in North Carolina. I am also a wife to my husband of 12 years and a mother to 5 children ages 10, 8, and 6, 5, and 4. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, serving within our church, I love spending time with my family, reading, playing my flute, and running.
