A Reading Road Trip!
The LIEP team hosted an English Learners (EL) reading event titled A Reading Roadtrip, bringing together families from diverse cultural backgrounds. During the event, readers engaged with students and families in Spanish, Portuguese, and Japanese, fostering multilingual interaction. A highlight of the event was the Language Exchange Game, where children practiced English with their parents while also using their home languages, creating a dynamic and inclusive learning experience.
E.A. Gibson Elementary School
These joyful moments capture the highlights of E.A. Gibson Elementary School's awards ceremony, where students were recognized for their hard work, growth, and achievements. Many got to share the spotlight with their biggest cheerleaders—their parents! Way to go, scholars!
Battle of the Bots!
Park Avenue Elementary School
Nurse Koller worked with students in the afterschool STEAM+C Enrichment program to teach them about the medical world and various nursing careers. Students were able to find their pulse, listen to a friend's breathing, dress the part with their own stethoscopes, and even take home their own first aid bag.
