SB Reads Event - February 12th 6:30-8:30 PM
Save the date for South Brunswick Reads Night: Reading is a Gift
We hope all district families will join us for our second annual SB Reads Night on Wednesday, February 12th at 6:30 at South Brunswick High School. In partnership with the South Brunswick Public Library, district librarians and teachers will host an evening of stories that prove reading is a gift. Activities will include read alouds with mystery readers, a book drive (all pre-k to 12 books will be accepted), readings from local authors, an AI storytime, book-themed crafts, along with free cookies and cocoa. We hope you will join us for an evening that celebrates the gift of reading.
KINDNESS at GREENBROOK
This year, our theme is KINDNESS IS A LANGUAGE WE ALL UNDERSTAND. Please help model this as well.
There have been several incidents this year where parents have been unkind to either each other at drop off or pick up or at events or to staff members (nurse, secretaries, teachers). While we may disagree, there is no need to be unkind, cursing, demanding or yelling.
If you are contacted by the school, please know that we do have your child's best interest in mind. We are not calling to inconvenience you, but rather to partner with you. We do understand that there is a lot going on for everyone and I just ask that we all just practice patience and kindness for ourselves and to model this for all of the children.
Planet Aid Donation Bins benefit the GB PTO
Did you know that all donations to these bins located outside of Greenbrook benefit the Greenbrook. PTO? We get $.05 per pound of donations. This adds up quickly!
Indoor Recess Requests for Outdoor Recess Days
Now that the weather has turned colder, we are receiving many requests for students to stay indoors due to illness.
We cannot accommodate these requests. Students who are well enough to be at school at expected to be well enough to go outside.
In the colder weather we will be going out for recess unless the temperature or windchill make it unsafe to do so.
Thank you for understanding and ensuring that your children are dressed appropriately for the cold weather.

Breakfast at School?
Did you know that your child can buy breakfast at school? Mascio's offers breakfast as well as lunch! Students who are eating breakfast at school will enter the building around 8:55 to go to the cafeteria. If they ride the bus, they just need to exit when the driver announces for breakfast.
