Phalen Virtual Leadership Academy
"Bytes" From Your School Leader, Dr. Townsend
November 22, 2024
Greetings Phalen Virtual Leadership Academy Families,
Happy Friday! Let's celebrate another great week at PLA Virtual. Yes, school is in session next week, Monday, November 25, 2024 and Tuesday, November 26, 2024. Although it is a shorter week, it is school as usual. Your scholars attendance matters, and we want and need everyone present to learn and grow! So, please be sure to have your scholar(s) logged in and ready to learn next week.
Thank you to all K-5 families who were able to join us today at the Indiana State Museum. We are intentional to provide monthly activities for all grade levels to come out, fellowship, participate and learn. We love building community and getting to know each of you. So, please check our monthly calendar and see if you can join us at least once this school year for an extra-curricular event or field lesson. Please check our Facebook and Instagram page for highlights and recaps.
Holiday season is soon approaching and it hits different for everyone. Whether you celebrate holidays or not, we are here to help and support in any way that we can. Our Social Worker, Ms. Anderson, has been posting some great resources for holiday help and mental health, as we know the holidays are not a happy time for everyone and we want everyone to feel care and love in some capacity. Please remember you are NEVER alone and you matter to us here at PLA Virtual.
Registration is still open for the 2024-2025 Academic School Year. Please share your success at PLA Virtual with friends, family, neighbors and organizations, as we may be a great school choice for them as well. Our registration link is below. We appreciate all the referrals that have been shared with us by YOU. They are proud to give your name as the person who referred them, and we also sing your praises in return as we appreciate all of our families.
We look forward to seeing your scholar(s) on Monday, November 25, 2024 for week 15 of our school year! Our Grades 6-12 scholars begin their school day at 8:00am and our Grades K-5 scholars begin at 8:30am.
Have a wonderful weekend!
With Gratitude,
Dr. Townsend, Principal
